IN AND OUT OF BALANCE was written in early 2020 just when things started to get crazy. I was caught inbetween two very strong emotional settings: First, I was panicking of how fast things got so apocalyptical. Second, I was relieved and happy that I didn't lose my job (although being a freelancer) and that me and my partner were able to work 100% virtual in our home office.

This song is about the permanent see-saw of these two massively positive and negative emotions. The negative feeling is the starting chord, a diminished G flat chord with a lot of tension. The positive chord is a B flat minor chord that loses the tension. Both chords and emotions are tight together by a circling sequencer theme.
